The largest Food and Beverage trade show in Southeastern Europe returns with 1,300 exhibitors and is ready to welcome for three days the industry’s decision makers from all over the world!
The top Food and Beverage trade show opened its doors early today at Metropolitan Expo to welcome Greek and foreign buyers from Organised Retail market, Wholesale and food service businesses. F&B businessmen and professionals have the opportunity to discover hundreds of production and trade businesses offering products of unparalleled gastronomic excellence and high nutritional value from all around Greece and 40 countries abroad, get to meet the 1,300 Greek and foreign exhibitors and directly conclude profitable commercial deals. FOOD EXPO 2023, from its very first hours of operation, re-affirms its position as the largest Food and Beverage trade show in Southeastern Europe and one of the most significant of its kind internationally, addressing the needs of domestic market and fully meeting the export-oriented requirements of the Greek producers in the sector.
In addition, Greek and foreign visitors get to discover a variety of traditional Greek products, since FOOD EXPO 2023 features 500 businesses-exhibitors from all around Greece, through the booths of 13 Regions, 11 Chambers and 4 Municipalities. These businesses have the opportunity to get in touch with thousands of Greek and foreign buyers, demonstrate the high quality and gastronomic excellence of their products and close commercial deals.
Also, OENOTELIA 2023, which takes place alongside the FOOD EXPO exhibition with 190 exhibitors and a wide range of wine and spirits labels will once again emerge as a key commercial wine trade show! Tourism, mass catering, wholesale and organized retail professionals have the opportunity in 4,000 m2 in Hall 1, to find everything related to wine and spirits among 190 unique exhibitors.
Special events reflecting developments in the F&B sector
This year, FOOD EXPO 2023 hosts even more targeted and innovative projects with the view to offering opportunities for networking, ideas and proposals exchange as well as dialogue and knowledge platforms for F&B professionals.
The first day of the exhibition has a full agenda of parallel events. In particular, within the context of Workshops & Seminars, the exhibition hosts in Hall 2, the Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Organization (ELOPY) event, where Greek fish and its role in nutrition will be the main focus. In addition, the Food Export Summit of SEVE is taking place, where the presence of Greek foods in the Balkan market and their development opportunities will be mapped. New approaches and technological innovations in primary and secondary production, in an environment of multi-level crisis, is the topic that will be analyzed subsequently, at the HAFST event. Modern developments in the field of animal products and fish and technological and innovative approaches to food production are some of the key points on the agenda of the event.

At the Mediterranean Food Stage in Hall 1, distinguished chefs will present unique ideas for brunch, with selected products from Regions and Municipalities of Greece as well as Chambers. The day begins with the Region of Western Greece presenting local recipes by the Peloponnese Chefs Club and Chef Panagiotis Bourtsouklis and the Chamber of Serres with the presentation of recipes by Chef Tasos Tolis. The live cooking shows continue with the Region of Crete and the presentation of recipes by Chefs Michalis Papakyritsi & Marianna Xofaki, the Region of Attica with the presentation of recipes from the Acropolis Chefs Club, Central Macedonia with the presentation of traditional recipes by Chef Kostas Georgantzas, and Eastern Macedonia & Thrace with the presentation of recipes with traditional products by Chef Vassilis Mandros.
