Day 1 – FOOD EXPO 2026: Thousands of Professionals Discover New F&B Trends

The first day of FOOD EXPO 2026 kicked off dynamically, with an impressive turnout of food and beverage industry professionals from Greece and abroad.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore the new products of 1,300 exhibitors, discover the leading trends in the F&B sector, and engage in the first targeted B2B meetings. Activity across the exhibition halls was continuous, as attendees showed great interest in the innovative product proposals and new launches presented by exhibitors from Greece and around the world.

Thousands of executives from Retail, Foodservice, and Tourism, along with 1,000 international Hosted Buyers from more than 80 countries, explored over 50,000 high–nutritional-value food and beverage SKUs showcased at the exhibitors’ booths. The product range covered every modern market need, from timeless brands and innovative healthy-eating concepts to “no-and-low” alcoholic beverages, ethnic flavors, and sustainability-driven products.

At the same time, traditional and PDO products from producers across Greece, presented at the booths of Regions, Municipalities, and Chambers, captured the spotlight. Visitors also discovered original ethnic products and unique gastronomic offerings from more than 200 international exhibitors.

At the Mediterranean Food Stage, the first live cooking shows of the “GReek Origins” series attracted large crowds, highlighting Greek culinary tradition through contemporary creations. Meanwhile, OENOTELIA opened its doors with premium labels from the Greek vineyard, domestic and international wines, rare and distinctive varieties, traditional spirits, and modern tasting experiences that set high expectations for the days to come.
