Oenotelia 2022 impressed thousands of professionals in the industry

The dynamic participation of 180 exhibitors, made OENOTELIA 2022, which took place in parallel with the FOOD EXPO exhibition, a key wine trade show!

Thousands of visitors crossed the exhibition gates to experience first-hand the richness of the Greek vineyards, the wines and spirits of domestic winemaking and to close advantageous business deals. The tourism, food service, wholesale and organized retail professionals had the opportunity to find everything about wine and spirits among 180 unique exhibitors. Featuring Greek producers from every region of Greece, OENOTELIA covered most of the Greek vineyard, while hosting exhibitors with an extensive range of wine equipment, bottling machines, winemaking systems, packages, labels and wine accessories, vine nurseries and consulting services.

International interest in Greek wines

This year OENOTELIA took up an ever-bigger area, covering 3,200 sq.m. The number of its international buyers has respectively increased, as more than 150 key wine buyers from foreign target markets attended the show as part of the hosted buyer program of FOOD EXPO 2022, from target markets such as the U.S.A., China, Australia, Canada and many other countries which traditionally support Greek wine. During the exhibition, the buyers had approximately 2,200 B2B meetings with the exhibitors in OENOTELIA.

Wine tasting strictly for professionals!

The visitors of OENOTELIA 2022 also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Greek vineyard, the domestic varieties, and the modern identity of the eponymous Greek wines through the wine tasting that took place at the exhibition’s Wine Tasting Area. In particular, signature wines from every winemaking region, from a wide range of varieties and from the entire price spectrum were available for tasting at the special designed area which had been set up in Hall 1 of the Metropolitan Expo. Visitors were given useful information on every wine sampled, which enabled them to compare the organoleptic properties of more than 400 wine labels from all over Greece.
