The largest exhibition of Food and Beverages in N.A. Europe today opened its gates to 1,300 leaders of the Greek and global F&B industry, and welcomes the thousands of industry professionals.
The leading trade meeting for the food and beverage industry opened its doors today and welcomes Greek and foreign buyers from Organized Retail, Wholesale and Mass Catering businesses from early in the morning at the Metropolitan Expo. The professionals of the F&B industry have the opportunity to discover hundreds of production and commercial enterprises with products of unparalleled culinary excellence and high nutritional value from every corner of Greece but also more than 30 countries abroad, to meet up close the 1,300 Greek and foreign exhibitors and to make direct profitable trades.
Greek and international visitors have the opportunity to find many traditional products of our country, as businesses from every corner of Greece participate as exhibitors at FOOD EXPO 2024, through the stands of the Regions, Chambers and Municipalities, which are gathered in Hall 1.
Also, OENOTELIA 2024, which takes place alongside FOOD EXPO with 190 exhibitors and a wide range of wine and spirits labels will once again emerge as a key commercial wine trade show! Tourism, mass catering, wholesale and organized retail professionals have the opportunity in 4,000 m2 in Hall 1, to find everything related to wine and spirits.
Special events that reflect the developments in the F&B industry
FOOD EXPO 2024 is presenting even more targeted workshops this year, with the aim of being a fertile ground for networking, exchange of ideas and proposals, as well as platforms for dialogue and knowledge for professionals in the F&B industry. The program of side events for the first day of the exhibition is particularly rich.
In particular, the exhibition, as part of the Workshops & Seminars, hosts today in Hall 2, the Greek Exporters Association conference where extroversion and innovation in the development of a sustainable and competitive agri-food sector will be analyzed and the export performance of the food-beverage sector will be presented. In addition, the Independent Public Revenue Authority Conference is held which deals with exports and customs facilities. At the Mediterranean Food Stage in Hall 1, the culinary excellence and quality of Greece’s products will be showcased through unique dishes – meze proposals created by renowned chefs.
Today on the stage the presentation of proposals for appetizers will be: the Region of Western Greece with the Chefs’ Club of Greece and Chef Mandros Vassilis, the Region of Attica with the Chefs’ Club Akropolis and Chef Kovaios K. – Tzima, the Region of Peloponnese with the Chefs’ Club of Greece and Chef Panagiotis Bourtsouklis, the South Aegean Region with the Chefs’ Club of the Dodecanese & Cyclades and Chef Nikos Christophorou and the Representative of the Organization Vice-Regional Governor Filimonas Zannetidis, the Region of Thessaly with the Chefs’ Club of Greece and Chef Panagoulis Vassilis, the Region of Western Macedonia with Chef Giorgos Karavangelas and the Chamber of Serres with the Chefs’ Club of Greece and Chef Tati Bokotsi. The Anniversary Event for the 10 years of FOOD EXPO, will also take place today, in the ROOM FOR GROWTH in Hall 3, at 17.00. In the framework of the event, the most important points of the exhibition’s ten-year journey will be presented by Mr. Thanasis Panagoulias, President & CEO of FORUM SA. Afterwards, there will be an honorary awarding of Food and Beverage companies, which have participated in the exhibition since the first event in 2014.
