Great deals, networking & F&B trends: This was FOOD EXPO 2024

The 2024 event has come to an end and it was an event full of commercial deals, hundreds of satisfied exhibitors and thousands of excited visitors. 

1,300 exhibitors in total presented the best, premium, latest that the F&B industry has to show both in Greece and abroad. Visitors were able to discover a wide variety of ethnic products at the stands of 200 international exhibitors. At the same time, the 1,000 hosted buyers from around 80 countries who attended the exhibition, discover up close a panorama of quality and high nutritional value foods and made contacts with new suppliers. New export routes were opened for Greek production companies, while the industry executives who met here had the opportunity to discuss the future of the industry, to exchange opinions and ideas and of course to form together a dynamic community, dominated by inspiration and entrepreneurship, and establishing profitable business relationships. 

At the same time, in Hall 1, the commercial businesses and producers who participated in the pavilions of the Regions, Chambers and Municipalities of Greece gained the impressions for the famous and in many cases awarded local foods prepared from traditional products with materials from the Greek land. While in OENOTELIA, the exciting Greek wines and spirits are already on the list of businessmen who tried them. 

Making a first assessment of their participation in FOOD EXPO 2024, the exhibitors declared that they were excited by the level of this year’s event and the quality of the visitors, while they have already renewed their participation for 2025. 

The special events monopolized the interest of the visitors 

Hundreds of professionals from every corner of Greece filled the spaces of the special events of FOOD EXPO. At the Workshops & Seminars, the speeches on the value of human resources for the Greek Food & Beverage Industry at the Conference organized by SEBT on the Workshops & Seminars stage, attracted great interest. At the Mediterranean Food Stage in Hall 1, the Municipalities of Artemis – Spata, Saronikos, Markopoulos presented the Attica Vineyard Program and an Italian culinary journey was presented by Ice – Italian Trade Agency by Chef Giovanni Scaraggi, owner and Chef of restaurants, in Athens and Rhodes and the Representative of the Organization Fabrizio Camastra. The Region of the Ionian Islands with Chefs Christos Machira & Mourelato Babis presented proposals for appetizers based on high quality and nutritional value Greek food and drinks, in the presence of Nektarios Aravantinos, President of Agrifood of the Ionian Islands. FOOD EXPO 2024, after three successful days, was once again a focal meeting point between F&B industry professionals and leading food and beverage production and supply companies and renews its appointment for 2025.
