An event full of commercial deals, hundreds of satisfied exhibitors and thousands of excited visitors comes to a close. That was the 2024 edition of FOOD EXPO edition:
A total of 1,300 exhibitors showcased their latest and most premium products that the F&B industry has to offer, both in Greece and abroad. Visitors were able to discover a wide variety of ethnic products at the stands of 200 international exhibitors. 1,000 Hosted Buyers from around 80 countries discovered a multitude of high-quality foods up close and made contacts with new suppliers.
The attending executives were able to open new expert routes for production companies and discuss the future of the F&B industry. FOOD EXPO 2024 was a success in many aspects: Exhibitors and visitors exchanged opinions and ideas, strengthening the dynamic community distinguished by innovation as well as forming profitable business relationships.
Hall 1 hosted the commercial businesses and producers participating in the pavilions of the different regions, chambers and municipalities of Greece but also the international participations. Visitors were able to get an insight to the famous and in many cases awarded-winning local foods prepared from traditional products with ingredients from every region or country. OENOTELIA put exciting wines and spirits on the purchasing list of the many industry experts that came to try the products.
Making a first assessment of their participation in FOOD EXPO 2024, the exhibitors declared their excitement for the standard of this year’s event and for the quality of the visitors. Many exhibitors have already renewed their participation for 2025.
Special events attracted great interest of the visitors
Hundreds of professionals from every corner of Greece filled up the FOOD EXPO special events: The Workshops & Seminars stage offered various talks on different topics – such as the value of human resources for the Greek F&B industry organized by SEBT. At the Mediterranean Food Stage in Hall 1, the Municipalities of Artemis (Spata, Saronikos, Markopoulos) presented the Attica Vineyard Program. The Chef Giovanni Scaraggi, owner and Chef of restaurants in Athens and Rhodes) as well as the representative Fabrizio Camastra from ICE (Italian Trade Agency) took visitors on an Italian culinary journey.
The Region of the Ionian Islands was represented by the chefs Christos Machira & Mourelato Babis who showcased ideas for appetizers based on high quality and nutritional value Greek food and drinks. Nektarios Aravantinos, President of Agrifood of the Ionian Islands, also took part in the presentation.
A rice-themed cooking demonstration was offered by Chef Dina Nikolaou from Eurice, in the presence of the organization’s representative, Ms. Koumendakis. See more here.
After three successful days, FOOD EXPO 2024 was once again a focal meeting point between industry professionals and leading production and supply companies within the F&B industry – and renews its appointment for 2025.
