FOOD EXPO opened its gates for the 3rd day with commercial agreements and thousands of professionals

1,300 exhibitors are welcoming thousands of professionals from Organized Retail, Wholesale, Hotels and Catering businesses from Greece and abroad, for third day.

After a two-day event that was described as highly successful – both by the 1,300 exhibitors who had the opportunity to hold hundreds of trade discussions and by the visitors who were able to meet the demands of their businesses – the largest Food and Beverage show in N.A. Europe enters its final stretch. From early on, the prevailing image in the halls of the exhibition is of businessmen sealing new deals and renewing already successful collaborations. The decision makers from every corner of Greece and also from abroad have for one more day the opportunity to meet hundreds of production and commercial companies with products of unparalleled culinary excellence and high nutritional value and to directly carry out profitable commercial transactions.

At the same time, many of them also visit the stands of the 280 international exhibitors, as they look for products from all over the world for the shelf or menu of their business, with the aim of making it stand out and become more competitive. It is worth noting that FOOD EXPO 2024 hosts foreign exhibitors from 30 countries such as Egypt, Albania, Belgium, North Macedonia, Ecuador, India, Italy, Cyprus, Hungary, Ukraine, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, either included in the exhibition’s impressive national pavilions, either as independent entries, with autonomous stands.

The visitors are also particularly impressed by the Oenotelia exhibition, which is organized at the same time in Hall 1. Thus, Greek visitors as well as foreign wine importers have the opportunity to come into contact with producers from all the wine-growing zones of the country and to see the wealth and the quality of the Greek vineyard, as well as to taste 400 excellent labels in the Wine Tasting Area.

Intense action on the stages of the special events

The presence of visitors to the parallel events of the exhibition is again impressive from the first hours. Today, Monday, the last rounds of speeches and panels take place on key issues concerning the wider Food and Beverage industry.

The value of human resources for the Greek Food & Beverage Industry is the theme of the Conference organized by SEBT at the Workshops & Seminars stage. Immediately after, the presentation of the European project I-RESTART takes place. You can see the detailed program here.

The curtain also falls on the Mediterranean Food Stage in Hall 1 where today the Municipalities of Artemida – Spata, Saronikos, Markopoulo present the Attica Vineyard Program. Afterwards, an Italian culinary journey will be presented by the Ice – Italian Trade Agency by Chef Giovanni Scaraggi, owner and Chef of restaurants, in Athens and Rhodes, and Agency Representative Fabrizio Camastra. The Region of the Ionian Islands with Chefs Christos Machairas & Mourelatos Babis present suggestions for appetizers based on high-quality and nutritionally valuable Greek food and drinks, in the presence of Nektarios Aravantinos, President of Agrifood of the Ionian Islands. Eurice will also present a rice-themed cooking demonstration by Chef Dina Nikolaou in the presence of the Organization’s Representative Ms. Koumentakis.
