Significant synergies from the joint organization of FOOD EXPO & OENOTELIA

Featuring 180 exhibitors, 3,200 m2 exhibition area and 150 key wine importers, OENOTELIA will once again be registered as the most important wine & spirits trade show in Greece.

Confirming its reputation as a trade show with international allure, Oenotelia showcases and promotes not only wine and spirits from Greece but also from the entirety of the Mediterranean region. During the three days of the 5th Oenotelia that will take place together with FOOD EXPO 2019, Greek and international visitors will have the chance to meet with producers from all wine-growing regions and discover the unique qualities of the Greek vineyard, as well as its phenomenal indigenous varieties.

Under the auspices of the entirety of the institutional bodies of the Greek wine sector, and following an impressive promotional strategy, OENOTELIA 2019 will undoubtedly be the leading wine commercial forum in the country and is expected to attract tens of thousands of trade visitors from the organized retail and foodservice sector, from hotels, etc.

More than 150 wine importers will visit OENOTELIA 2019

Oenotelia 2019 will host a significant number of international wine importers. Specifically, FORUM SA, the trade show’s organizing company, taking advantage of the exceptional quality of Greek wines and the growing international interest in the unique Greek varieties, is hosting, for the 5th consecutive year, a comprehensive Hosted Buyer Program to attract approximately 150 wine importers from key target markets all across the globe.

It is worth mentioning that more than 2,250 b2b meetings between the buyers who will join the Program and local winemakers/exhibitors are expected to take place during the three days of the fair.

Finally, according to a survey conducted by IPSOS-OPINION on behalf of the trade show organizing company, 98% of the exhibition’s international visitors praised the fact OENOTELIA is held in parallel with FOOD EXPO, while 81% of visitors were particularly impressed with the trade show’s size and scope, proving its high commercial effectiveness.


Targeted seminars and a plethora of special events

During the course of the trade show, a number of compelling seminars specifically intended for  the hospitality, foodservice and retail professionals will take place at a specially-designed area. The seminars, presented by established oenologists and experienced sommeliers, are aimed to train professionals and inform them on the latest wine sector trends.   

Experienced oenologists and sommeliers will present a comprehensive seminar program, will provide attendees with useful tips, insight and ideas for the evolution and improvement of their respective businesses. At the same time, through the course of a series of wine tastings, OENOTELIA 2019 trade visitors will be given the opportunity to get to know in greater depth the Greek vineyard, the indigenous varieties, as well as the modern identity of the new wines of Greece..

The leading wine & spirit businesses participate at OENOTELIA

The wine sector is one of the most promising and developing in Greece, consisting, on the one hand, of family-owned businesses which follow millennia-old traditions but at the same time wish to continue training in commercial extroversion, and, on the other, of new companies created by a younger generation and wishing to make a name of themselves in the industry.

OENOTELIA’s exhibitors comprise of winemaking businesses, distillers and distilleries, as well as wine and spirits distribution companies operating in the Greek market. More specifically, exhibitors include companies in the sectors of wine & spirits production and imports, as well as the wholesale and distribution of wines, spirits and alcoholic beverages.

In addition, representatives from vine nurseries, organic farmers, winemaking machinery and equipment companies, bottling and packaging machinery and equipment businesses, wine accessories brands, oenological laboratories, and consulting firms, also participate at the trade show.
