Safety and commercial success come first while preparations for the FOOD EXPO 2021 are underway!

On March 6-9, 2021, the heart of the Food and Beverage industry will “beat” again at the 7th FOOD EXPO.

Focused on safety and following the correct practices and regulations based on the special protocols of health content for the organization of exhibitions, FORUM SA has vigorously begun preparations for the FOOD EXPO 2021 exhibition.
The interest of industry professionals is focused on the leading exhibition event for Food and Beverages in Southeastern Europe.
Despite the new conditions that have developed due to the coronavirus pandemic, FOOD EXPO 2021 will upgrade Greek companies creating even better conditions to develop their extroversion. Especially, at a time when Greek fruit and veg exports break new records and the food and beverage sector managed not only to remain unharmed for the most part but also to witness a rapid increase in demand and revenue.
Once again, FOOD EXPO 2021 will be the top event for the domestic food and beverage market, giving the opportunity to the largest food and beverage production and processing companies that participate as exhibitors, to highlight their products in thousands of Greek and foreign food traders and conclude great deals and expand their commercial base with new dynamic customers!
At the same time, the exhibition’s international character, will be highlighted for another year as several important and large production and export companies from foreign countries will participate.

FOOD EXPO will run for 4 days for greater commercial success

Taking into account the safety of exhibitors and visitors, the organizing company FORUM SA has started the preparation for the organization of the exhibition FOOD EXPO 2021, following the correct practices and regulations based on the special protocols of health content for the organization of exhibitions.
In addition, so as to ensure a significant number of visitors and the commercial efficiency that have characterized FOOD EXPO, despite the special conditions that exist nowadays, we added one more day to the operation of the exhibition.
Thus, in order for FOOD EXPO to preserve its integrity across all levels and provide its known commercial benefits to its exhibitors and visitors, the opening is scheduled for Saturday 6 March 2021 and the exhibition will close on Tuesday night, 9 March 2021.

Two fresh sectors at FOOD EXPO 2021

Our goal is to promote innovation in the food industry while taking under consideration the market’s needs.  Therefore we created two, new sectors which will open new horizons in the business community. Following the request of mainly foreign buyers, who were looking for high quality Greek fruits and vegetables, we created a new sector at FOOD EXPO 2021.
The “Fruits & Vegetables” sector aims to promote the high quality of Greek production and the exhibitors of this sector will be companies and smaller producers that produce fruit and vegetable and they will have the opportunity to present their products to Greeks and international buyers.
At the same time, FOOD EXPO, responding to the need for a market of organic (bio) products, launches a new section where exhibitors can participate with organic and natural products. Exhibitors in this section will have the opportunity to present their products and make contacts with Greek and foreign visitors who are interested in including organic food and beverages in their businesses.

Foreign buyers from selected countries

The Hosted Buyers program at FOOD EXPO 2021 will continue dynamically but also safely, with the participation of Hosted Buyers from selected foreign countries.
Our aim is to ensure an international character for the exhibition, despite the difficult conditions created by the pandemic worldwide, to enable the exhibitors to expand their export activities and to further develop their network outside the Greek borders.
It is worth noting that already 150 major international buyers, who were registered in the Hosted Buyers program of the 2020 exhibition, which was canceled, have changed their tickets and have confirmed their presence in the 2021 exhibition.

Significant synergies from the joint organization of FOOD EXPO & OENOTELIA

OENOTELIA is the only specialized exhibition of wine and spirits in Greece, with a purely professional character and an international orientation. It is held under the auspices of the Greek Wine Federation and takes place along with FOOD EXPO 2021.
Integrated with FOOD EXPO, OENOTELIA offers a plethora of important synergies, as it allows exhibitors to present their products to, and come into contact with, thousands of representatives from organized retail, wholesale and foodservice, as well as with key international buyers. Moreover, the simultaneous holding of OENOTELIA and FOOD EXPO gives the opportunity to Greek attendees and international hosted buyers to witness the full range and variety of Greek wine and gastronomy.
