Having as its main message “FOOD EXPO GREECE The Mediterranean Food Experience”, and using targeted promotional activities, FOOD EXPO 2019 attracted more than 3,500 international visitors from 83 major target markets for the Greek Food and Beverages sector such as the United Arab Emirates, China, India, Russia, Japan, Canada, Brazil, Lebanon, and many European countries such as Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Italy, Great Britain, etc.
It is worth noting that the foreign buyers who had visited FOOD EXPO 2018 were 2,900, which means that the traffic of international buyers increased over 70%. These figures confirm the international character FOOD EXPO has managed to build, as well as its crucial role in the extroversion of Greek businesses and in boosting the Greek economy.
The representatives and decision-makers of the large foreign companies who visited the show had the opportunity to get acquainted with an incredible range of traditional and modern Greek products and other items, and to be informed about the latest market trends.
Benefits were even higher for the Greek and foreign exhibitors, who across the three days of FOOD EXPO held meetings with a significant number of key-buyers of Food and Beverages from 83 markets, something that they wouldn’t be able to achieve under normal circumstances. The presence of so many important buyers enabled them to promote their products directly and efficiently, directly trade, expand their client base and further develop their distribution network within just three days.
