Intense preparations, with great momentum and important innovations, for FOOD EXPO 2020

Preparations for FOOD EXPO 2020 have begun pretty energetically and will proceed even more intensely in the coming months aiming at confirming its reputation as the largest commercial forum for food and beverages in Southeastern Europe!

The presence of FOOD EXPO in the world of exhibitions in the last 6 years is a catalyst for the development and growth of the Food & Beverages industry both in Greece and in the wider region of southeastern Europe. Its impressive annual increase both with respect to the number of exhibitors and exhibition area as well as visitors, has established it as the largest and most important exhibition for the food and beverages industry in Southeastern Europe. The bar is constantly being set higher and higher and the organizing company takes all the necessary actions for the exhibition to meet the high standards it has already set.

The supply market displayed great interest

The interest of exhibitors to participate in FOOD EXPO 2020 is already increased, demonstrating the incomparable success of FOOD EXPO 2019, which was visited by 70,000 professionals from 28,253 enterprises. Based on the interest that has already been shown, exhibitors of the next FOOD EXPO 2020 are expected to exceed 1,350. 300 of those will be foreign exhibitors with their stands developed throughout 25 national pavilions. So all the necessary actions and processes are carried out so that FOOD EXPO 2020 can become, once again, the highlight for the domestic market, giving the opportunity to the bigger production and manufacturing companies of the Food and Beverage industry participating as exhibitors, to exhibit their products to 75,000 expected Greek and foreign buyers and close great deals both domestically and internationally!

A new organic products section

Organic products sector is one of the world’s fastest growing, while organic products demand is on the rise. FOOD EXPO responds to this new market need, introducing a distinct section of organic products. Exhibitors in this section will be able to present their products and make contacts with Greek and foreign visitors who are interested in including organic food and beverages in their businesses.

The Hosted Buyer Program livelier than ever

Another point where much attention is paid and careful preparation is required, is the promotion of the exhibition abroad and the attraction of a growing number of important Hosted Buyers. Already, the first results from the contacts made by the Department of International Development, show that the buyers that have expressed interest in visiting the exhibition are already numerous and are expected to reach 950 from all over the world, which translates into 18,000 B2B meetings with exhibitors. At the same time, the vigorous promotion of FOOD EXPO abroad continues, including its participation with its own stand at other major international exhibitions. Besides, the methodical strengthening of its brand brings more potential buyers each year, with an estimated number of 5,000 in 2020.

Targeted parallel events

At the same time, it is worth mentioning that the organizing company FORUM S.A. renews, once more, its organizational structures in order to make the exhibition as well-organized and successful as possible; and prepares in cooperation with the relevant institutional bodies a number of workshops and seminars, which will contribute both to the further education of exhibitors and the cultivation of their commercial international orientation. F & B events are expected to be extremely impressive and will be held in parallel with the exhibition emphasizing its informative character in relation to the presentation of the newest and most qualitative products from the food and beverages industry during the Workshops & Seminars stage as well as the Mediterranean Gastronomy Forum.
