A recent online survey regarding FOOD EXPO 2021, shows that the vast majority of trade visitors fully support the digital form of the exhibition.
The largest Food & Beverage trade show in Southeast Europe returns on 14-18 June 2021 only in a digital form, through a custom made digital platform and will bring its exhibitors in interactive contact with thousands of Greek and foreign buyers, giving them the opportunity to showcase their products and services worldwide.
In an attempt to determine the intention of the Greek market to participate in the virtual trade show, the organizers conducted a nationwide online survey through the Typeform survey platform. The survey was conducted from 14/12/2020 to 4/1/2021, to a significant representative sample of 690 trade visitors from previous fairs.
Visitor sample analysis
The representatives of the companies that participated in the poll covered the entire spectrum of the organized retail, wholesale and foodservice sectors. Namely, 29.3% of respondents are owners and executives at Food & Beverage companies, 21.2% are owners and executives at catering and foodservice companies, 12.2% are operating in the mini market and delicatessen sector,
11.9% are entrepreneurs in the bakery and confectionery sector and the coffee industry, 7.4% are owners and executives of equipment trade companies, 6.5% are hotel owners and executives, 5.2% are in the supermarket and hypermarket sector, 3.2% are owners of liquor stores and wine bars, 2% are owners of meat and fish shops, while 1.2% are operating in the grocery sector.
All respondents are decision makers in the company they work for (77,8% owners, 12% executives, 6,2% general managers and 3,9% commercial directors) and come from all geographical areas of Greece (Attica, North, South, Central Greece and the Greek islands).
F&B industry supports the digital form of FOOD EXPO
The vast majority 78.1% of the participants applauded the organization of the digital exhibition. An impressive 71.4% of the participants at the survey stated that they are willing to join FOOD EXPO Digital. Specifically, through the online platform of FOOD EXPO Digital, visitors will be able to easily get in direct contact with exhibitors and have one-to-one meetings with them via video calls.
